William H. (Bill) Pennington, Jr., 82 of Little Silver, passed away on May 16, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Perth Amboy and grew up in Red Bank before moving to Little Silver in 1964. He graduated from Red Bank Catholic, attended St. Peters College in Jersey City and received a degree in Publishing and Printing from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. He served for two years in the US Army stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. Bill worked for many years for the then Red Bank Register before owning and operating Pennington Printing Services in Eatontown.

Bill was known for his sense of humor, devotion to family and great faith. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a communicant of the Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven. Bill enjoyed sailing on the Navesink River as often as he could and was a loyal fan of the NY Giants.

He is predeceased by his parents W.Harry and Kathryn V. Pennington and his sister Lois P. Gryson. He is survived by his wife Ann Deckert Pennington of Little Silver; his daughters Kathleen Stonaker and her husband Jim of Long Branch, Marianne Pennington of Hamilton Township, NJ, and Meghan Crow and her husband Todd and granddaughters Kathryn and Victoria of Bergholz, OH; a step-granddaughter Meagan Stonaker; and a great-granddaughter Peyton Austin of Belmont, NC. Bill is also survived by his niece Ann Gryson Jacoby , her son Michael Pennington Jacoby, his wife Dawnmarie and many loving family members.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 19th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 20th at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Rd, Fair Haven. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
