Peter was born in Bayonne, NJ, but was a life-long resident of Red Bank. He graduated from Red Bank High School in 1950. As a star basketball player for the Red Bank High basketball team, he became known as "Pistol Pete". Peter attended Muhlenberg College and Villanova on basketball scholarships. He was on active duty in the US Navy from 1952 to 1954. Pete was a "people person" working successfully in sales most of his career as Sales Manager for Shore Point Distributors formerly in Little Silver.

He was an avid Giants football fan and loved following any and all high school and college sports especially when his grandchildren were involved. He loved the beach, walking, reading and eating his wife's Italian cooking. He was also so fortunate to have several long time friends known as the "lunch bunch" and enjoyed laughing and telling stories with them many afternoons. Above all, Pete loved spending time with his family. He was adored by his wife, daughters and as Pop Pop, his grandchildren were his pride and joy!
