Barbara Ann Haedrich, age 86, passed away peacefully in her home on 2 April, 2019. Born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1932, she was the daughter of the late Helen and Joseph Maguire of Brooklyn, NY.

Barbara graduated from St. Saviour High School in Brooklyn in June of 1950. After high school, she attended business school at night and worked for several companies in New York City, including the well-known investment bank, Dillon Read.

In 1956 she married Frederick R. Haedrich, also of Brooklyn. They were married at Holy Innocents Church, in Brooklyn. They lived for a short time there before moving to Greenlawn on Long Island, where they raised their 3 children Mark, Steven and Marianne; and lived for 50 years until moving to New Jersey, in 2010.

While her family was always her primary focus, Barbara had many hobbies and outside activities. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crafts and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed going to the movies and traveling – including to Alaska; Costa Rica; Italy; England; Ireland; Nova Scotia; Bermuda; and many destinations in the United States. She loved doing needlepoint – her creations adorn the homes of all 3 of her children. She volunteered for many years at the Harborfields Public Library. She was an avid Catholic.

Barbara and Fred were married for 62 years in July of 2018. Barbara was predeceased by Fred and her brother, Joseph. She is survived by her sister Marilyn; children Marianne (husband Tim), Steven (wife Patricia) & Mark (wife Lisa); and her grandchildren Jack, Brian and Matthew Carroll; Emma, James and Michael Haedrich; and Brian, Thomas and Shannon Haedrich.

Barbara loved and cared for her family above all – especially her 9 grandchildren Emma, James, Michael, Jack, Brian, Matthew, Brian, Tommy and Shannon. She is loved dearly and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 13th at 11 a.m. at St. James RC Church, 94 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ.  Burial will be private.
