Margaret Elisabeth Hennin of Old Bridge, New Jersey left this Earth on June 4th, 2019. For over 20 years she battled fiercely with illness yet demonstrated a strength and tenacity few could muster. She was a highly passionate woman and was extremely devoted and loyal to family and friends alike. Her “live and let live” attitude made anyone she came in contact with feel instantly at ease and as if they were connecting with a friend they had known for many years.

Margaret was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School in 1976 and later lived in Queens before finally settling in Old Bridge, New Jersey. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Neuberger Berman in Manhattan, at Marketware International in Red Bank, NJ, and at Allister Business Solutions in Freehold, NJ, before devoting herself full time to family life.

Margaret lost her beloved husband Roger when she was only 34 years old. She raised her daughter Samantha and son Jason as a single mother, juggling the responsibilities of work and family life. She always encouraged her children to pursue their dreams - that being Samantha's passion for acting and theater, and Jason's passion for sports - he excelled at baseball, basketball, and football. Margaret also lost her father shortly before the passing of Roger so she joined forces with her mother and they and the children moved to New Jersey in 1998. While mother Johanna helped Margaret raising her children, Margaret offered a secure family life providing her mom with care and comfort in her senior years.

Margaret enjoyed classic TV sitcoms like I Love Lucy and The Honeymooners, was a die-hard Yankees baseball fan and loved music, especially Winger, Carrie Underwood, The Beatles, Van Halen, and Chicago. She was a woman of great faith in God and found strength and solace in fellowship with her church family at Monmouth Worship Center in Marlboro. She was a shining example of a person of great courage, strength and devotion in the face of physical adversity and was a great inspiration to those around her.

She is survived by her daughter Samantha and husband Matthew Whelan, her son Jason and fiancée Jillian Abdul, mother Johanna, mother-in-law Josephine Hennin, sister Ursula Trojcak and her husband George, brother Kurt Eger and his wife Robin Farber, brother John Eger and his wife Jean, brother-in-law Keith Hennin and his wife Elena, brother-in-law Chris Hennin and his partner Michael Larkins, sister-in-law Joanne Cavaretta, brother-in-law Daniel Cavaretta, nieces Lori Weber, Jessica Pylarinos, Noelle Norton, Rachel Hennin, Alana Hennin, nephews Jon David Eger, Daniel Eger, Samuel Eger, Matthew Trojcak, Eric Farber-Eger, Jesse Farber-Eger, Keith Hennin Jr., Justin Hennin, Kyle Hennin, and Daniel Cavaretta, great-nieces Emilie Weber, Madison Norton, Abigail Eger, Johanna Pylarinos, Audrey Hennin, and Alia Hennin, great nephews Ethan Lovette, Austin Jacob Eger, Alexander Eger, Quinn Norton, Caleb Pylarinos, and Logan Norton.
