The Thompson Memorial Home is located in a colonial revival home built in 1915 with all the charm of an era gone by.  We offer handicapped accessibility, off street parking and a full range of products and services to fit all needs.


Bruce S. Thompson, owner and manager of The Thompson Memorial Home located at 310 Broad Street, Red Bank offers a full complement of Services to assist families who have lost a loved one.  Caring for the families in need is the commitment made by the family owned Thompson Memorial Home.

Bruce S. Thompson is a fourth generation area resident.  Son of the late H. Ernest and Barbara Jane nee Smith Thompson, raised in Fair Haven, he is one of five children.  He is a graduate of Rumson Fair Haven High School, Brookdale Community College, and American Academy Mc Allister Institute of Funeral Service.

Francis Wayne Applegate

Funeral Director, NJ Lic. No. 3150

Wayne is a Red Bank native having attended grade school and high school here. He attends Mass at Oratory of St. Anthony of Padua of Red Bank. Wayne earned his AA degree at Miami Dade College and BA from Thomas Edison State University.

A medical corpsman, he proudly served in the New Jersey Army National Guard. Wayne is a former participant in the Eye Donor Recovery Program with Wills Eye Hospital and the New Jersey Eye Institute. He is a graduate of the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service.

Through the years, Wayne has been a clinical training preceptor for a number of Funeral Directors practicing today. He is a former member of the British Institute of Embalmers. Wayne has been a Funeral Director and Mortician since 1974.


Victoria A. Thompson CFSP, CCSP, CPC

Funeral Director, NJ Lic. No. 5342, Cosmetologist, NJ Lic. No. 76384

Victoria is a Monmouth County resident who has been with Thompson Memorial Home since 2017. She attended Mercer County Community College Funeral Service Program for her mortuary science education, and she also served as President of her class.

Along with being a Licensed Funeral Director, Victoria is also a Licensed Cosmetologist in New Jersey. She graduated from cosmetology school from Monmouth County Vocational School District, Neptune, NJ. She obtained a certification in Desairology, a specialty in cosmetics and hairstyling on deceased individuals. 

Her additional certifications include: Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP). The CFSP certification is the highest professional designation a Funeral Director can achieve in funeral service. Victoria is also a Certified Preplanning Consultant (CPC), Certified Cremation Service Provider (CCSP), and she is a Certified Funeral Celebrant. 

As a Funeral Celebrant, she serves by providing a funeral service, memorial service or tribute that is personalized and individualized to reflect the personality and life-style of your loved one. 

Victoria volunteered at Stephy’s Place in Red Bank as a Group Facilitator for grief and bereavement support for several years. 

She is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association, Monmouth and Ocean County Funeral Directors Association, and the Professional Beauty Association.
