Don had a long fulfilling career in finance and was a private investor. It began when he joined the trust department of Bankers Trust Company. In 1966 he was Founder, Director and Vice President of William D. Witter, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange firm specializing in investment research for institutions. Subsequently, he served as Vice President of Chase Manhattan Bank, serving in the Middle East Division of the International Department, New Jersey National Bank and United National Bank. Don was predeceased by his parents Thelma and Jacob White. He leaves behind his loving family: his wife Betsy (Hynes); two daughters Sharon Morris and husband Tom of Mendham, NJ and Sally O’Connor and husband Sean of Bluffton, SC and five grandchildren Brian, Jeffrey and Kyle Morris and Sean Jr. and Kelsey O’Connor. He also leaves behind his brother Gregory P. White of Little Silver.

Don was a longtime member of the Beacon Hill Country Club where he served on the Board of Trustees. He was a sports enthusiast and an avid golfer. Don’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends who will miss him greatly.

The family wishes to express their overwhelming gratitude to Denise Yaman and the “Healthy Lives Program” at Monmouth Medical Center for their guidance and support during recent years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Shrewsbury First Aid Squad in Don’s memory would be greatly appreciated.

Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Interment services will be private and will take place at a later date.
