Anne M. Duncan, 91, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday September 28, 2021.

She was born in Jersey City in 1929. She was graduated from St. Aloysius High School. Anne married George M. Duncan in 1951 and started raising a family in Jersey City before moving to Hazlet, New Jersey. There she continued to lovingly raise her eight children. She would often say that her time at home with her “babies” was the happiest of her life. She worked in a wide range of occupations that included being a switchboard operator in New York City as a young woman, and later in life as an executive secretary for four consecutive presidents of Saint Peter’s College (now Saint Peter’s University) over the span of three decades. It was there that she had established many life long friendships and was known as a trusted and steadfast professional in the “Saint Peter’s family”.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Duncan, her son George E. Duncan, her loving parents, Francis and Kathryn McGovern, her sisters, Kathryn Canavan (Robert brother-in-law), Barbara MacLean (Donald H. MacLean brother-in-law , (John Patrick Clyne brother-in-law), and Margaret McGovern.

She is survived by seven remaining children: Barbara Duncan Stockmal, Paul Duncan, Colleen Duncan, Carolyn Duncan Niles, Brian Duncan, Christopher Duncan, and Robert Duncan; her twelve grandchildren, 8 nieces and nephews, and her great grandchildren.

In accordance with Anne’s wishes, she shall be cremated. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 13th at 11:30 am at St. Catherine's Cemetery, 1100 W Chicago Blvd, Sea Girt, NJ 08750.  Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
