welcome

It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas P Argentieri, 75 years old, of Neptune/Shrewsbury, NJ.  Tom passed away peacefully January 24th after a long and valiant battle with multiple myeloma.  Tom was raised in Hornell, NY and graduated from Georgetown University in 1969.  Upon graduation he attended Boston University Law School, graduating in 1973. After law school, Tom settled in Monmouth County, NJ and began working for the Public Defender’s office in Newark, NJ.  He then went on to establish his own private practice in Red Bank, NJ, finishing his career as an in-house council for C.N.A. Tom left a lasting impression of love and kindness to everyone he met.  His strong faith sustained him through life.  He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, playing golf, beating Linda in gin rummy, cheering on the Yankees and Giants, snacking on a midnight bowl of ice cream, reading any mystery or thriller he could find and visiting Loon Lake, NY for annual family reunions.

Tom is survived by his four children, Justin Argentieri and his wife Ariane (Alexandria, VA), Matthew Argentieri and his wife Serena (Kenilworth, NJ), Meaghan Argentieri and Cale Argentieri (Neptune, NJ); four grandchildren, Garrett, Julian, Acelin, and Sebastian Argentieri; his longtime partner and fiancé Linda Forrest, his five siblings; Linda Rascovar and husband Lee (St. Louis, MO), Gerald Argentieri and his wife Sheryl (Bath, NY), Paul Argentieri and his wife Lynn (Sebastopol, CA), Dede Ranger and her husband Rick (Rochester, NY) and Ted Argentieri and his wife Diane (Boston, MA).

The family will receive relatives and friends to celebrate Tom’s life on Friday, January 27th from 4pm-7pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28th at 9:30 am at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 121 Bridge Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
