welcome

Steven Alan Lang, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on February 25th, 2023, at the age of 69 after a courageous 6-month battle with cancer.

Steven grew up in Red Bank, where he attended and graduated from Red Bank High School in 1971. Steven pursued a career in plumbing and became a skilled master plumber, a career he excelled in for many years.

Steven was a devoted husband to his wife of 45 years, Maureen, and a loving father to his three daughters, Colleen LaSalle, Kelly Schwerin, and Maura Carroll, and their husbands Paul LaSalle, Brett Schwerin, and Ben Carroll. He was a proud grandfather of four grandchildren, Kevin LaSalle, Paulie LaSalle, Audrey Schwerin, and Mary Carroll.

Steven was a passionate outdoorsman and a member of the Wayside Gun Club and Central Jersey Gun Club. He had a particular love for sporting clays and enjoyed being an instructor. He was also an avid history enthusiast, a baseball fan with an affinity for the Yankees, and had a deep appreciation for classic movies. He loved nothing more than settling in with his loved ones to watch a film.

Steven will be remembered as a kind, caring, and generous man who loved his family deeply. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his memory will live on through his loved ones and all those whose lives he touched.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 5-7pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701. All other services are private.
