Marion Ryan, a 60 year resident of Little Silver NJ, transitioned into eternal life at home on August 4, 2023. She was born in Phoenixville, PA and was a graduate of Radnor HS, where she was a member of the boys rifle team and a certified “Sharp Shooter”. She moved to Red Bank to work for Bell Telephone Co. and met and married Edmund Ryan of Sea Bright. They raised 5 children, 4 who survive her. Marion enjoyed the beach, reading, country music, the NY Mets, and vacationing in Blue Mt. Lake NY.
Marion was predeceased by her husband Edmund B. Ryan (1977) and her son Edmund B. Ryan Jr. (2022), as well as her parents Alfred and Helen Reahm, her brother Alf and her sister Catherine Lama. She is survived by her children Suzanne Souto, Marianne Gillette (Robert), Karen Bonfield (Thomas), Christopher Ryan (Heather), and her companion of many years, Robert Gray and their cat, Rosie. Also surviving her are 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 13th from 2-5 pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 14th at 10:30 am at St. James Church, 94 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown, NJ.
