Obituaries

Nancy E. Bruno, formerly of Hazlet and Little Silver, NJ passed quietly in her sleep early Christmas morning, December 25th.

Nancy was born on 6/23/1934 and was a graduate of Hasbrouck Heights HS in North Jersey. Nancy eventually moved to Hazlet and then Little Silver to raise her four children. Nancy was employed at General Cable as a customer service representative and retired in 1992. Nancy is predeceased by her ex husband John VanVelthoven and husband Pat Bruno who passed in 2012.

Nancy is survived by her four children; Susan Miller and spouse Donald, Diane Buccheri and spouse Larry, Deborah VanVelthoven and partner Chick Downey, John VanVelthoven and spouse Laura. Her seven grandchildren; Brian Miller and spouse Samantha, Brenna Melillo and spouse Joe, Kristen Buccheri, Nicole Buccheri and spouse Kenny, Matthew Buccheri and spouse Christine, Brad VanVelthoven, Alec VanVelthoven. Nancy was also very proud of her four great grandchildren; Brandon Melillo, Sienna Amsel, Luca Miller, Madison Melillo.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28th from 12-2 pm, with a family eulogy to be shared at 1:30 pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 28th at 2:30 pm at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
