In loving memory of Frank D’Arpa, born February 3, 1950 and peacefully passed away on Sunday January 21, 2024.
Frank was born in East Orange, NJ and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. He served in the United States Army as a Medic during the Vietnam War, and a recipient of National Defense Service Medal. He was an Electrician and retired as Electrical Inspector for the City of Elizabeth.
Frank enjoyed volunteering his time giving back to the community by volunteering at the hospital, and local soup kitchens, as well as involvement in multiple charities.
Frank’s interests include writing songs, singing and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed making wine to share with others.
Frank is survived by his five children, Lela, Michelle, Frankie, Kris, and Cathy, his three brothers Joseph, Sebastian and Robert and his seven grandchildren Noah, Jonah, Vincent, Demetri, Anthony, Vito and Luca. Frank is predeceased by his parents Sebastian and Jean and his siblings Sal, Carl, Jean, Nancy, Roseann, Elizabeth and Marie.
Frank will be fondly remembered for his love for family, unannounced visits and his yellow cooler that was a beacon at family gatherings where people gravitated to for good food.
Frank was most proud to talk about and share stories of his children and grandchildren to all that would listen. He loved spending his time with them, going to the library, community events, concerts and shows.
Please join us in remembering and celebrating Frank’s life. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25th from 4-7pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 26th at 11 am at St. Anthony's of Padua Church, 27 Oratory Way, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown, NJ. Condolences and cherished memories can be shared online or at the service.
