In loving memory of Deborah Marie Lynch Byrne, who passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024 at the age of 58 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Deborah graduated from the Academy of the Holy Angels in 1984 and from the University of Virginia in 1988, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. After graduation, Deborah worked for Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City. That summer, Deborah met the love of her life, Kevin. They quickly fell in love and were married on September 15, 1990.
Together, they raised four beautiful children before eventually settling in Red Bank, NJ. Deborah was a loving and steadfast mother, and she was greatly devoted to her children and all of their interests and activities. When she wasn’t spending time with her children, you could find her reading on the beach, watching reality television, or listening endlessly to Bruce. Deborah brought laughter and positivity into everything she did.
Deborah was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2008 and fought courageously through 16 years of treatments, which included over 100 rounds of chemotherapy as well as multiple surgeries and radiation therapies. Despite it all, she remained positive throughout and continued to be the best mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her, but she will live on in all who she touched throughout her life.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband Kevin of 33 years, her four children: Kevin Jr., Mary Kate, Eileen, and Bridget, her mother Marie Lynch, and her sister Maureen Lynch. She also survives countless cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, god-children, and friends, who Deborah loved dearly. Additionally, she leaves behind her four lifelong friends and “Angels”: Christine Bagin, Tricia Crowley, Eileen Gill, and Margaret Maltby.
Deborah is predeceased by her father John Lynch Jr. and by her brother John Lynch III.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM and 7:00PM - 9:00PM at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, March 22nd, 2024 at 11:00AM at St. James Catholic Church, 94 Broad Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
