The Almighty Lord gently raised Sharon into His loving arms on March 28. He knew that she had bravely struggled through the pain for so, so long and He had some work for her to do. There were some people in Heaven that needed cheering up. The Lord knew that Sharon could strike up a conversation with a complete stranger and make them feel good about themselves immediately.
A woman of grace and dignity, Sharon was one of the strongest, courageous, and kindest people you’d ever meet. She radiated positivity and love even in her darkest hours, always making sure those she loved were well taken care of. Her final caregivers, children and grandchildren always went home with her giving them the hand sign “love you” and text “love you more” as her beautiful voice had been taken away from her.
Sharon leaves behind her loving husband of 57 years, Frank, her beloved children, Mike and Stephanie, her son-in-law, Rob, her cherished grandchildren, Ellie, Gracie, Audrey, Caroline, Katherine, Robert and Elisabeth and her sister, Maureen. Sharon is predeceased by her parents, John and Eva Cameron.
Funeral services will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s of Padua in Red Bank, NJ. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Thompson Memorial Home of Red Bank, NJ has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to “Joan Dancy and PALS”, “Tunnel to Towers Foundation” or “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital” in Sharon’s memory.
