Rafik Abboud, “Son of Egypt” lived a true American Dream, resided in Tinton Falls, NJ, and passed away in May 2024. Born in Egypt to Louise and Elie Abboud, Rafik embarked on a remarkable journey that touched the lives of many.
Rafik immigrated to the United States with nothing but determination and a dream. His smile and charisma warmed your heart, welcomed you in, and undoubtedly left a wonderful impression. Rafik will be remembered as selfless and kind, even putting the needs of strangers ahead of his own.
Rafik's greatest legacy lies in the lessons he imparted to those around him. He taught love, forgiveness, meaning, kindness, and the importance of striving for excellence in one's passions. Family was the cornerstone of Rafik's life, and his devotion to his wife Mona, son Michael, daughter Michelle, and his five grandchildren knew no bounds.
Rafik's life was a testament to sacrifice, as he gave everything he had for the sake of his family's happiness and well-being. Though Rafik Abboud may have left this world, his stories, sense of humor, words of wisdom, his love, and his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 11 am at St. Dorothea's Roman Catholic Church, 240 Broad St, Eatontown, NJ 07724. Burial will be private.
