Emily Margaret Kaeli

Emily Margaret Kaeli

Emily Margaret Kaeli, a beloved daughter, sister and aunt, left this world on Saturday, July 13, 2024, after a valiant four year and eight month battle with a rare form of spinal cancer.

Emily was born at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York and grew up in Shrewsbury and Fair Haven, New Jersey. Emily was educated at Holy Cross Academy in Rumson, New Jersey, Red Bank Regional High School in Little Silver, New Jersey, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Emily was a Senior Division Director at Beacon Hill, a leading national firm which sets the standard in workforce consulting, professional staffing, project delivery solutions and job placement. At Beacon Hill, Emily had an illustrious career and was esteemed for delivering the highest quality temporary talent to clients in the New York marketplace by partnering with leading companies in the private equity, hedge fund, financial services, consulting, fashion, real estate and media industries. An expert in temporary staffing for administrative and support level positions, Emily had earned a reputation for outstanding client service, unparalleled market knowledge, and high quality placements.

Prior to joining Beacon Hill, Emily was a Managing Director at Glocap Search, a New York-based search firm, where she developed and successfully led their national temporary staffing practice for administrative support for nearly a decade, all while serving as a top individual producer and role model to the staff she hired, trained and mentored. Emily initially established her career in staffing as Recruiting Director at Atrium Staffing, a leading boutique agency headquartered in New York City, where she worked for four years focusing exclusively on administrative placements.

Emily’s belief in conquering uncharted territory, her irrepressible zest for life, and her deep love of her family, friends and colleagues were the elixir that fed her soul and fueled both her professional success and her dignified cancer battle.

Emily was devoted to her family and cherished her time with them, especially her mother and partner in crime, Peggy. They shared many laughs and built wonderful memories traveling and dining at their favorite restaurants. In addition to her mother, Emily is survived by her siblings Shannon de Boissard of London, England, William T. Kaeli, Jr. (Julie) of Philadelphia, PA, Christopher S. Kaeli (Betsy) of Monmouth Beach, NJ, four nephews and two nieces, Axel, Hugo, Annabelle, Everett, Oscar, and Beatrix, and her precious cavapoo, Teddy. She was preceded in death by her father William T. Kaeli, Sr.

Emily’s family and friends are devastated that they will no longer hear her laughter, enjoy her wit, witness her generosity of spirit, be comforted by her words of wisdom or simply enjoy her radiant smile, and the mischievous twinkle in her beautiful blue eyes, but they take solace in knowing that she is now at peace.

Emily was elegant, unflinching and dignified in the way she lived her life and the way she said goodbye. She was an exemplary embodiment of gratitude, generosity and grace. In the words of George Eliot, "Our dead are never dead to us until we have forgotten them." Emily will never be forgotten by those whose lives she touched.

In keeping with Emily’s wishes, her family will host a celebration of her remarkable life with joyful memories and laughter at Monmouth Beach Bath and Tennis Club, 65 Ocean Avenue, Monmouth Beach, NJ, on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 2 - 5 p.m. Colorful summer attire is requested.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (Neurology Research) in Emily’s memory through the following link: http://mskcc.convio.net/goto/emilykaeli.

Thompson Memorial Home of Red Bank, NJ has been entrusted with the arrangements.
