Rosaria "Nella" Pugliese (nee: Bellizzi), a beloved mother/grandmother/wife passed away peacefully on December 26th at 88 years of age. Born in San Basile, Italy, she was the cherished daughter of Vincenzo and Caterina (Bellizzi).
A devoted wife to the late Andrew Pugliese, she was a loving mother to John and wife Donna, and Cathy (Pugliese) and husband Tom Sivo. She was a cherished grandmother to Jacqueline Pugliese and husband David Paulen, Andrew Pugliese, and Matthew Sivo.
Nella led a fulfilling life, she enjoyed knitting countless blankets, scarves and hats for those in need of warmth and for babies in the local NICU. She will be remembered for her caring of others.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29th from 1-4 pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 30th at 10 am at St. James Church, 94 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Interment will be private for family only at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to HABcore, Inc, HABcore.org (Monmouth/Ocean County Housing for the Homeless) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, stjude.org.
