It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dolores Maggiore, age 83, on the morning of January 15, 2025.
Dee always lived life to the fullest. She was a free spirit who would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Her warmth, kindness, and loving nature touched all who knew her. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children, William and Lisa, and her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dee found joy in the company of Zane, her granddog, who always brought a smile to her face and made her heart happy.
Dees' hobbies included dancing to AC/DC, cheering on the New York Giants and playing rummikub with her friends. She also loved watching her grandson Robert’s wrestling career, cheering him on throughout high school and college. Anyone who dared step in front of her view faced the wrath of her cane!
As a devoted member of St. Anthony’s Church in Red Bank, NJ, Dee volunteered as the flower lady, bringing beauty and grace to the church.
Dolores leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and devotion, and is survived by her son William Maggiore and daughter in law Mary Maggiore, daughter Lisa Kanniard and son in law Christopher Kanniard, her grandchildren, Andrew, Robert, Cassandra, and Melissa, and her great-grandchildren, Mya, Dominic, Tori, Kallie, Evan, Brody, and Leo. Her family will forever cherish her memory, and her spirit will live on through each of them.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Home in Red Bank, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 11 am at St. Anthony’s Church in Red Bank, NJ, followed by a private burial later in the week at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Wall, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Anthony’s Church Red Bank NJ.
