Maryann C. McGloin

Maryann C. McGloin

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Maryann McGloin on January 31, 2025.

Maryann Catherine McGloin was the best late Christmas present Catherine (Kitty) Courtney and Patrick McGloin ever received, born on December 26, 1959.

Growing up in Fair Haven and Rumson, Maryann had many friends and cherished her summers at the beach.  She filled her childhood home with the sounds of Billy Joel and Elton John, blasting from her bedroom stereo.  A graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance from Trinity College in Washington, D.C.

Maryann was dedicated to her career, where she spent over 45 successful years in the financial services industry, where she worked closely with retirement plan clients and plan providers.

She was a Senior Vice President and Retirement Plan Consultant at Newport Capital Group in Red Bank, New Jersey, where she was deeply respected and admired.  Prior to joining the Newport Capital Group, Maryann held vice president positions with Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch.

A passionate animal lover, Maryann was a proud fur mama to Poppy, her beloved rescue dog, Baby, her cat, and to her many other furry friends that she adopted and cared for throughout her life.

Maryann was predeceased by her beloved parents, Catherine and Patrick.  She is survived by her loving family: stepmother- Maria McGloin, sisters - Elaine McGloin (Todd Dixon), Julie McGloin, Jenny McGloin (Yarusi), and her cherished nieces and nephews - Patrick, Catherine, and Colin Gunther; Max and Jackie Dixon; and Ava and Olivia Yarusi. She also leaves behind many aunts, cousins, and dear friends.

A special thank you to the Nicosia Family and to Stacey and John Furey for their steadfast love and friendship, her entire Newport Capital Group family, especially Domenic DiPiero and Michelle Bennett, for their love and support.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18th from 3-6 pm, with a prayer service at 5:30 pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 19th at 11 am at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Maryann to the Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall St, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
