Nancy Ruth Kochanski, age 85, of Middletown died peacefully at home on Friday, July 11, 2025. Nancy grew up in Middletown where she lived her whole life and raised her family. Nancy worked as a server at What's Your Beef Restaurant in Rumson for many decades. Since retiring 10 years ago, she loved most of all spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents James & Margaret (Ayers) Weeks, husband Greg Kochanski, two sons James and Thomas Zilly, sister Emily Worden & her husband Edward (Jenkins) and two brothers Fredrick and Robert Weeks & his wife Catherine (Dow).
She is survived by her children Michael & Patricia Zilly of Tinton Falls, Darlene & Brian Lang of Middletown, Sharon Acciavatti & Jeremy Rau of Union Beach and daughter-in-law Diane Grillon & her husband Barry of Toms River; grandchildren Thomas & Kristin Gorski of Middletown, Melissa & Harry Murtha of Atlantic Highlands, Michael & Hilary Zilly of Tinton Falls, Nicholas & Emily Gorski of Matawan, Megan & Zack Ross of Sewell, David & Karly Zilly of Eatontown, Ryan & Lauren Zilly of Florida, Kaitlyn & Otto Kerler of Eatontown, Hayley Acciavatti & James Courtney of Highlands and Joseph Acciavatti of Highlands; 17 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 4 to 7 pm with a eulogy and short prayer at 6 pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jason's Dreams For Kids, 20 Monmouth St, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
