Esther L. Pavelka, 96, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, John Pavelka.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Lehman, Nancy Pavelka, and Jill Pappas, and their husbands; and five grandchildren: Parker Lehman, Julia Luebs, Melanie Luebs, John Pappas IV, and Alex Pappas.
Esther was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who lived with dignity, grace, and a smile. She was deeply involved in her church, ministry, women’s groups, and Garden Club, and she touched many lives through teaching and service.
In her later years at The Atrium, she remained active in the welcoming committee and book club and hosted a one-woman art show. Her contagious joy and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 8th at 11 am at Tower Hill Presbyterian Church, 255 Harding Rd, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Thompson Memorial Home of Red Bank, NJ has been entrusted with the arrangements.
