Jeanne McGregor, 97, passed away peacefully at home on July 16. A native of East Orange, New Jersey, she moved to Rumson, where she lived for 40 years as a loving and devoted mother of five. When her children were grown, she moved to Florida, where she lived for 15 years.
In 2002, Jeanne returned to New Jersey and settled in Oceanport. She was a member of St. Dorothea's Church, where she sang in the choir for several years. She enjoyed playing tennis, playing cards with the Oceanport seniors, and taking bus trips to Atlantic City. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and was adored by her grandchildren.
Jeanne is survived by her children, Scott, Tracy, Alison, and Robin; her brother, Paul Ronan of California; her grandchildren, Megan, Ashley, Andrew, Natalie, and TJ; and 22 nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her daughter, Laurie, and her grandson, Ian.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd from 4-7 pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 23rd at 10 am at St. Dorothea's Church, 240 Broad St, Eatontown, NJ 07724. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown, NJ.
