Kathleen Ann O’Neill Marass of Rumson passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, at the age of 95.
Kathleen spent her early years growing up on Sandy Hook, later moving to Navesink and eventually settling in Rumson, where she raised her family.
Kathleen attended Leonardo High School, graduating at the age of 16 to begin her career. She was first employed on Wall Street in New York City, later working at Fort Monmouth in the Electronic Warfare Department, followed by many years at Shore Area OBGYN, where she served as office manager.
An avid bridge player, Kathleen treasured the many lasting friendships she made around the bridge table.
Her proudest accomplishment was raising her children, and her greatest joy was being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished her family deeply and will be remembered for her warmth, strength, generosity, and unwavering love.
Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret O’Neill; her beloved husband, Kenneth; and her seven older siblings. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Kenneth (Beth), Kathleen Wolkom (Robert), and Nelson (Laura); her grandchildren, Jessica Folsom (Scott), Kaitlin Morfin (Uriel), Patrick (Jennifer), Colin (Kendra), and Heather Knibbs (Bryant); and her great-grandchildren, Erana, Kathryn, and Rowen Folsom; Madelyn Morfin; Eliza, Lydia, and Caden Marass; Callum Marass; and Avery and Allston Knibbs, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Her family will be forever grateful for her kind and loving caregiver, Suzi.
She leaves behind a family who was blessed to have her and who will carry her memory in their hearts always.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22nd from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a prayer service at 11:30 am at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Interment will be private.
