Mary T. Santry

Mary (Stanley) Santry of Little Silver passed away at age 95 on September 3, 2026.  She was born at home in Rumson the eighth child of Ellen (Hyland) and John Stanley. 

Mary attended the Lafayette Street School in Rumson and graduated from Rumson High School as a member of the National Honor Society.  Always active in sports, Mary’s favorite was field hockey.  Later, tennis, golf, boating and travel were enjoyed by she and her husband. 

Mary and Thomas Santry were married at Holy Cross Church in Rumson and were married fifty eight years at the time of Tom’s passing.  Mary was active at Holy Cross, serving on both the PTA and the school board.  In later years she became a parishioner at Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven.  Mary was a past President of the Newcomer’s Alumni group, in addition to being the Historian and first female Life Member of the Shrewsbury River Yacht Club. 

Mary is survived by her loving family; Thomas and Lynda Santry (Troy and Kayla) of Fair Haven, Eileen and Thomas Kiernan (Colleen Campbell, Thomas Kiernan III and Mary Schulke) of Cranbury, Mary and John Brodsky (John, Charlotte Devine and Christopher) of Rumson, Robert and Stephanie Santry of Rumson and six great grandchildren; Owen and Rosie Campbell, Landon Kiernan, Brie and Logan Schulke and Annie Devine.

Mary was predeceased by her brothers; Patrick, John, Vincent, Matthew, Charles and William Stanley and her sisters; Eileen Kammers and Rosemary Hulse. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Church of the Nativity, 180 River Rd, Fair Haven, NJ from 10 am to 11 am. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am. Burial will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s name may be made to EB Research Partnership, Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
