Kerri Thorpe, 46, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on October 30, 2026. Her loss leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
Kerri shared an especially close and loving bond with her beloved parents, Maria and Jimmy, whose support, encouragement, and companionship were constants throughout her life.
Kerri made her home in New York City and was a graduate of New York University. She worked as a paralegal at Allstate for many years and valued the friendships and career she built there.
Kerri's beloved cat, Jigglypuff a/k/a "Jiggs", was one of the great joys of her life and a constant companion. Their bond brought her comfort, laughter, and unconditional love, and those closest to her knew just how much Jiggs meant to her.
Known for her unique sense of humor and perspective on the world, Kerri embraced her interests wholeheartedly and never hesitated to celebrate the things she loved.
Kerri never simply watched Star Trek or played Dungeons & Dragons. She built friendships through them. A devoted Star Trek fan, she enjoyed traveling with friends she met through the fandom, including memorable Star Trek cruises, and spent countless hours adventuring and laughing with friends through online Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.
She loved to travel and treasured her trips to Disney World. Her interests reflected the playful spirit that made her uniquely herself, from Snorlax and Pompompurin to the cherished tradition of baking Christmas cookies during the holiday season. She took particular pride in her Italian struffoli, a family favorite that may have even been better than Grandma's.
Family memories were among Kerri's greatest treasures. She delighted in revisiting favorite stories from summers, vacations, and holidays, often laughing just as hard at the retelling as she had the first time around.
Kerri will be remembered for her wit, imagination, loyalty, and enthusiasm for the people, places, and passions she loved. Her loss leaves a profound void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kerri was predeceased by her beloved Uncle Tony; her cherished Grandma, Madeline Muller; her aunts, Sandra and Rose; and her great-aunts Emily, Ruthie, and Mary, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her loving parents, Maria and Jimmy; her Aunt Jackie and Uncle Joe; her uncles Frankie, Michael, and Angelo; her cousins; and the many dear friends she met throughout her life.
