Karen A. Tarnecki, 61, passed away at home on June 28, 2018. Karen was born in Jersey City to Peter and Helen (Way) Osnato. She was very involved with the Girl Scouts as her daughters grew up and loved summers at the beach. Karen was a bookkeeper for Forever Changes Inc. at their Billabong store in Shrewsbury. She was a generous and caring member of her local community.
Karen is predeceased by her father Peter. She is survived by her husband Joseph Tarnecki; her mother Helen Osnato of Toms River; her daughters Stephanie DeCotiis and her husband Robert of Neptune, Michele Tarnecki of Butler, and Liane Tarnecki of Boston, MA; her brothers John Osnato of Clark, Richard Osnato of Somerville and Dennis Osnato of S. Plainfield; and her sisters Judy Maher of Barnegat and Lynn Bilawsky of Fords.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 1st from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 2nd at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Fair View Cemetery in Middletown.
