Red Bank – On July 30, 2018, Helen Wehman, 92, left this earth peacefully to join our Lord in Heaven with her family by her side. Helen was born and raised in Jersey City, moved briefly to Bayonne and spent her last four years with her daughter Patty and her family in Red Bank.
Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband John; her brothers Edward, Chester and James. Surviving are her four daughters Marguerite Brennan and her husband Thomas, Elizabeth Frieri and her husband Frank, Kathleen Mulrenan and her husband Robert and Patricia Munro and her husband John; and her nine grandchildren JordanLynn, Luke, Stephen, Jack, Claire, Matthew, Samantha, Michael and Elsbeth. Also surviving is her sister Florence LaMendola.
Helen was an avid reader and loved knitting and doing puzzles of any kind. Her greatest joy was her four girls and her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength and honesty.
Helen received loving care from her caregiver Kathy as well as Ana and we are forever grateful to them.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 2nd from 5 to 8 pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 3rd at 10 a.m. at St. James RC Church, 94 Broad St, Red Bank. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
