Patrick J. Maloney.  His family celebrates the life of Patrick J. Maloney who on May 3, 2019 lost his lengthy battle with COPD, secure in the knowledge that he is now at peace with his beloved Theresa.  He was 93.

Born in the Hell’s Kitchen section of New York City, Patrick was the eldest of six children born to Joseph Aloysius Maloney and Ellen (Gleason) Maloney. His father was a business man and restauranteur and his mother a homemaker and Elementary School Teacher.

Pat was educated in the New York parochial schools, graduating from Power Memorial Academy, entered the United States Navy in 1943. He served in the Pacific Theatre on the USS Balduck, a destroyer escort, and was honorably discharged in 1946.

Johanna E. Stavrou, 87, died peacefully as home with her family at her side on April 24, 2019.  Johanna was born to Gerhard and Margaret Schikora in Trebnitz, Germany.  Prior to residing in Middletown, Johanna and her husband Steve traveled the world until 1967 when Steve was stationed at Ft. Monmouth.  

She was the owner of Johanna’s Health Store in Shrewsbury for 28 years.  In her spare time she loved to garden. 

Johanna was predeceased by her husband Steve in 2001; her son Steve G in 2013; and her siblings Werner, Brigitte and Isle.  She is survived by her son and caregiver Chris and his wife Coleen and their children Cassandra, Courtney and her fiancé Jeff, and Christopher; her daughter Marianne DeJesus and her daughter Ann Marie DeJesus of Exeter, ME; and her four great-grandchildren.

Joseph Michael Kapusta, 60, of Bayville, peacefully passed away April 22, 2019, at JSUMC surrounded by family and friends.

Joe was born in Jersey City and grew up in Keansburg.  Upon graduating Keansburg High School, Joe joined the USMC and proudly served his country for four years. 

He was an avid Yankee fan who enjoyed watching and going to games. 

Family was everything to Joe.  Together with his first wife Eileen, they raised two sons Joseph and Sean in Hazlet.  During this time Joe worked at the Red Bank Post Office for 32 years until his retirement in 2016.  His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.  Joe had a larger than life personality that will be missed by all who loved him.

Adele E. “Del” Kelly, 91, of Annapolis MD, passed away on Good Friday, April 19, 2019. Adele was a long time resident of the River Plaza section of Middletown and was a communicant of Saint James Roman Catholic Church in Red Bank. She was predeceased by her parents Louis and Helen Ciak and was the youngest of nine children with all of her siblings predeceasing her.

Her husband of 61 years, John J. "Jack" Kelly predeceased her in December 2010.

She is survived by her six children, sons Philip and wife Margaret of Timonium, MD, Michael of Annapolis, MD, Thomas and wife Erica of Annapolis, MD, Matthew of Bel Air, MD and Christopher and wife Cheryl of Shrewsbury, NJ and daughter Anne and husband James Scott of Spring Grove, PA, 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

James Ingersoll Wyer V died peacefully at his home in Shrewsbury, NJ on Easter Sunday April 21^st surrounded by his children at the age of 95. Born on June 9, 1923, in Denver, Colorado, son of William and Katherine Rolfe Wyer, Jim grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a graduate of Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts, Yale University B.A. 1945 and Bachelor of Law 1949. He served with the Naval Reserve between 1943 to 1946 in the Pacific Arena during WWII.

Having a long distinguished legal career, he served as Vice President and General Counsel at American Cyanamid between 1973 to 1986, was Chairman of the Atlantic Legal Foundation between 1986 to 1997 and after his retirement in 1986 worked as Counsel for St John and Wayne, Newark, New Jersey.

Annette Marie Stallone was born to Rose Marie Stallone and  Victor Albert Stallone in Brooklyn, New York. She was their little princess. She had one brother who preceded her, Martin Victor Stallone. Her brother was her hero. Annette loved the arts and fashion from a young child. She would orchestrate plays with the children in the neighborhood, design the costumes, illustrate set designs and have formal performances in the alleyways between the brownstones in Bay Ridge.

The family relocated to Staten Island, New York when she was 10 years old. She attended P.S. 4 grammar school and then went on to graduate from Tottenville High School. During High School she was a member of the Drama club and student council. She was chosen by Barbizon Modeling and Acting School for their scholarship program upon her graduation. The theater and modeling were not Annette’s only love. She was a renowned roller skater. She and her best friend made a new skating skirt every week before heading to the roller rink. That is where she met her true love and husband, Charles J. McNeal (Chick).

Bonnie Valerie Large, nee Carlsen, 58, passed away peacefully surrounded by Family, on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, while in hospice care, after a long, brave battle with cancer.

Bonnie was born in Neptune, NJ. She grew up in Ocean Township and Allenhurst, NJ, and spent some time in Houston, Texas, before eventually settling in Red Bank in 1987 with her husband, Dave.

Bonnie was known to all whose lives she touched, as a loving, caring, polite, and considerate, person. She attended Ocean Township High School, and then began a long stint in the Food & Beverage industry. She worked in many area clubs and hotels, and was known for her warm and friendly smile as a bartender .She also spent time in the retail industry, and always rose to management level positions in both endeavors, due to her honesty, likeability, customer care, and extraordinary work ethic.

Regina McMahon, 91 years old, a resident of Holmdel, New Jersey, died on April 11th at The Willows Assisted Living facility. Regina was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 26, 1927, to Alfred and Anna Gundersen.

Regina married Thomas McMahon in 1947. They had five children and raised them in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and then Staten Island. It was there that Regina went from homemaker to working mother, eventually becoming an assistant bank manager.

Laurie Miller of Red Bank, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 12th 2019 at age 59. She was the wife of Brian McNerney, and they shared 33 full years of cherished milestones and unforgettable memories.

Laurie grew up in Fair Haven with her father, Spencer Clayton Miller, mother, Janet Smith and two siblings - Debbie and Spencer Miller. She attended Rumson  Fair Haven Highschool and graduated in 1977 and soon after that graduated from Brookdale Community College with her Associates Degree. She was a dedicated and hardworking employee at  Bollerman Realestate as an Administrative Assistant.
