There will be a private family service. 

A celebration of her life will be scheduled when friends and family may safely attend. Donations in her memory can be made to Rosemont College, 1400 Montgomery Ave, Rosemont, PA 19010, or Regis High School, 55 E. 84th St, New York, NY, 10028, or Saturday Soup Kitchen, 503 Asbury Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ, 07712. Thompson Memorial Home of Red Bank, NJ has been entrusted with the arrangements.

There will be no visitation or services at the request of Mrs. MacConnell.

In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank, on Tuesday, December 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church, 395 Delano Place, Fairview, NJ. If you are unable to attend in person, the funeral mass will be available via live streaming Internet by clicking on the below link on Wednesday, December 23 at 9:30 am: http://www.olgrc.org/olgweb/ls.html Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum, Fairview, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to The Joseph and Lucy DePalma Memorial Fund, in support of charitable causes; for convenience, donations can be made online at https://cfnj.org/depalma/

Due to Covid a “Celebration of Hal’s Life” to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Lunch Break/Food Bank Red Bank www.lunchbreak.org.

Mel loved being around people, but due to the current pandemic and his family’s concern for everyone’s health and safety, the viewing and funeral mass will be private. A celebration of Mel’s full and well-lived life will be held on a later date.

Visitation will be Friday, December 18th from 5 to 8 pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank.  In keeping with the current state mandates regarding COVID-19, face coverings must be worn by all visitors before entering the funeral home and visitors are also asked to observe social distancing. Visitors are asked to greet the family and then exit the funeral home so that others may also visit due to the limited, allowable capacity.

Burial will be private. 

Visitation will be Friday, December 11, 2020, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank, NJ. In keeping with the current state mandates regarding COVID-19, face coverings must be worn by all visitors before entering the funeral home and visitors are also asked to observe social distancing.  Visitors are asked to greet the family and then exit the funeral home so that others may also visit due to the limited of occupancy inside the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 10 am at St. Mary's Church, 19 Cherry Tree Farm Rd, Middletown Township, NJ 07748.

Prior to her passing, Father Vic from St. James Catholic Church administered the Anointing of the Sick at her bedside. He will celebrate her funeral Mass on Saturday, December 12.
