William H. (Bill) Pennington, Jr., 82 of Little Silver, passed away on May 16, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Perth Amboy and grew up in Red Bank before moving to Little Silver in 1964. He graduated from Red Bank Catholic, attended St. Peters College in Jersey City and received a degree in Publishing and Printing from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. He served for two years in the US Army stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. Bill worked for many years for the then Red Bank Register before owning and operating Pennington Printing Services in Eatontown.
Bill was known for his sense of humor, devotion to family and great faith. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a communicant of the Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven. Bill enjoyed sailing on the Navesink River as often as he could and was a loyal fan of the NY Giants.
