Dolores Thomson, loving wife of 72 years of John Thomson passed away on January 28, 2020.   

Dolores is survived by her husband John, her three children, Joann, wife of Stephen Lazorchak, Paul and his wife Susan, and Robert and his wife Carol.  Dolores had three grandchildren Adam Lazorchak married to Hayes, Mary married to Kevin Fennessy, and Eric Thomson married to Dierdre, and four great grandchildren Cassidy and Avery Fennessy, Alexander Lazorchak, and Claire Thomson.

Kum Hwa Oversen, 77, of Tinton Falls passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Monday, January 27, 2020. 

Born in South Korea, she met and married a U.S. Navy Corpsman named Herbert who served our country for 27 years and later worked at Monmouth County’s Correctional Institution. While serving the Navy, they traveled the world and raised 2 children. They later settled in Tinton Falls and became the World’s Greatest Grandparents. Kum Hwa loved bingo, playing slot machines in A.C., watching game shows and Judge Judy. She was an excellent cook who specialized in Korean Cuisine. She also made the best pot roast, meatloaf, fried chicken and potato salad. Her grandchildren were her greatest love and joy.

Mary F. Nannini, 96, of Ocean, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2020, with loved ones by her side. Mary was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua, a member of the Women’s Club of Eatontown.

She was predeceased by her husband James and her son Luigi. She is survived by daughters Carolina Nannini of Long Branch and Phyllis Hart and her husband William J. Hart III of Monmouth Beach; her grandchildren Andrea Smith-D’Ambrisi, Guy Smith, David Smith, Kristin M. Hart, William J. Hart IV, Joseph Naninni and Nicholas Nannini and eight great-grandchildren. 

Mary Misan, 95 of Red Bank, passed away quietly on January 25, 2020.  Mary was a communicant of St. James RC Church and was a member of the church choir.  She was employed at Bell Laboratories from the time that it opened in Holmdel and also in West New York, NJ.

On January 20, 2020, Maureen Rahner, loving mother and amazing grandmother, passed away at the age of 73.

Maureen was born in New York City in 1946 to Eugene and Mary Elizabeth McMenamin.  In an effort to avoid cold winters, she attended La Universidad Catolica de Puerto Rico in Ponce, Puerto Rico.  She then resided in New Jersey, where she raised her one daughter and partner in crime, Nora Maureen (Rahner) King.  

Maureen loved to travel and read and was at her finest when combining the two: reading one of her favorite authors under her favorite tree at her favorite island beach.  She was known to travel with an entire suitcase stuffed with books and only transitioned to a Kindle in an effort to avoid fees for overweight luggage.  Maureen was quick-witted with an amazingly dry sense of humor, and her friends and family regularly laughed until they cried during their gab sessions.    

Joan M. Lorme (nee Schneffensiefen), 87, of Oakhurst, NJ, and Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Lincroft, NJ.  Joan was born in Jersey City, NJ, on September 1, 1932, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Schneffensiefen.

Joan graduated from Snyder High School in Jersey City, where she was captain of the Twirlers Squad.  Joan met her late husband Hal in high school and was married for 62 years.  Joan was employed over the years at RCA, Computer Systems Labs and was an assistant at a dermatology office.

Joan and Hal loved to travel, both domestically and internationally and enjoyed many fun-filled vacations.  Joan was a member of the Does and was selected Doe of the Year in 2001.  Joan also enjoyed playing majong with a group of friends every week.  But it was Joan’s love of the beach, ocean and sun where she could be found most days.  Joan’s greatest joy was spending time with good friends and family and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Richard "Dick" Molke, formerly of Rumson, New Jersey, passed away at the age of 93 on December 27, 2019.   His wife of over 70 years, Louise Gentles Molke, was by his side. In addition to his wife, Mr. Molke is survived by the couple’s three children Richard H. Molke Jr. (married to Mary Pat Lee Molke), Robert W. Molke  (married to Anne E. Magennis) and Lisa Molke Lenker (married to Dr. Robert B. Lenker) and their nine grand-children: Krista, Richard, Joanna, Zoe, Heather, Samuel, Graham, Conor and Kathryn. A Celebration of Life service was held on January 12, 2020 at Thompson Memorial Home in Red Bank, NJ, including military honors from the Navy.

Richard Emil Tobias Sr, age 67, of Little Silver passed away on January 18, 2020 surrounded by his family after a long and heroic battle with cancer.

Richard was born in Newark. He went to school in Colonia and Little Silver. He graduated from Red Bank High School in 1971. He was an avid swimmer and participated with the swim team.  He was also a lifeguard for many years where he met his wife. He worked for Bendix during his younger years and was a volunteer member of the Rumson Fire Department before becoming a Rumson Police officer in 1982. He was promoted to chief in 2006 and retired in 2012. Richard loved riding his Harley, going to AC, playing with his dogs, and spending time with his grandchildren.  

Rosalie Cook, 81, of Holmdel, NJ passed away peacefully, Friday, January 17th. Rosalie was born in Flatbush, Brooklyn NY. She met and later married her late husband Joseph Cook after attending and graduating from the University of Pennsylvania.They raised their family in Elizabeth, NJ where Rosalie worked as a Registered Nurse. She spent many years working for Thomas & Betts and later worked for First Chicago Trust  prior to retirement in 1999.  During her retirement she was a part time resident of Marco Island, FL where wonderful memories were created with her children, grandchildren and friends. She devoted time to her community and Mary Mother of God Church of New Monmouth, NJ where she was a Eucharistic minister, food pantry volunteer, and a beloved CCD teacher preparing students for their first holy communion.

Gerald W. Hannay, 88, of Rumson, New Jersey, passed away on January 13th.  He was predeceased by his parents Gerald and Virginia Hannay as well as his former wife Janneka Evans Hannay. Gerald is survived by his wife Lois Judice Hannay; his sister Jean Bodine of Williamsburg, Virginia; his brother John Hannay “Beverly” of Williamsburg, Virginia; three children  James Hannay Sr. of Toms River, New Jersey, David Hannay and Ana of Summit, New Jersey, and Jeffrey Hannay of Stewartsville, New Jersey, and one daughter-in-law Jenifer Hannay of Middletown, New Jersey.  In addition he leaves behind two grandchildren James Hannay Jr. “Katelyn” and Kaitlyn Hannay and one great-grandson Jacob Hannay, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and friends and Nicholas “dog.”
