THOMAS EDWARD SELAH, 54 of RED BANK passed away at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch on Friday, March 20th.
He was a resident in Red Bank all of his life. Thomas had worked for Denco in Eatontown as a repairman for vacuums.

Olivia Summers Dutcher, long-time resident of Fair Haven, NJ, died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday morning in her Seabrook Village apartment. She was 94.
Born and raised in Abingdon , Virginia , she was the daughter of Lewis Preston Summers and Katherine Barbee Summers. She attended George Washington University where she received a degree in social work and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She was employed as a social worker during the Depression in the Appalachian mountain region surrounding Abingdon.
Born and raised in Abingdon , Virginia , she was the daughter of Lewis Preston Summers and Katherine Barbee Summers. She attended George Washington University where she received a degree in social work and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. CLIFTON MAX JENSEN, 93 of RED BANK, NJ died on March 17, 2009.
Born September 6, 1915 in Mantua , UT to Marion and May Jensen, he was raised in Brigham City with his five brothers and sisters on his father’s sheep ranch.
He enlisted in the US navy in 1933 at the age of 17, where he served for twenty-two years. He achieved the ranks of Chief Electrician, Chief Petty Officer and Chief Warrant Officer. During WW II he served aboard destroyers in the Atlantic Fleet and with an amphibious radar unit and repair ship in the Pacific. He participated in battles at Guadalcanal, the Solomon Islands , the Philippines and at Bougainville aboard the USS Whitney. He retired from the navy in 1955 and moved with his wife and children to New Jersey . There he began a long, successful sales career which started with Duncan Parking Meters, continued with Koontz Equipment Corp. and returned to Duncan Industries, with whom he remained until his retirement at the age of 74.

WALTER STOBO, 78 of LINCROFT passed away on Wednesday, March 18th at Riverview Medical Center , the same hospital that he was born in.
Walter had lived most of his life in the River Plaza section of Middletown Township . He then lived in Red Bank for a few years before moving to Lincroft in 1998.
Walter graduated from Leonardo High School in 1948. He was a milkman for his brother with Raritan Valley Farms and Sunrise Dairies in the early 1950’s. He also worked for the Middletown Twp. Road Department and the Recreation Department. For a brief time he was also a police dispatcher. In 1965, Walter then went to work for the U.S. Post Office as a letter carrier. He worked for them retiring after 25 years of service. In his retirement, he drove part-time for Share-a-Ride for Para-transit.

CARLOS JUAN FIGUERAS, 73 of RED BANK departed peacefully and far too soon for us. He left this world to be with the Lord Jesus Christ early Saturday morning, March 14th.
He was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on December 8, 1935 to Jose Antonio and Lydia . He came to New York City when he was 10 years old and made his home there for 30 years. He worked many places in New York City and NJ as a chef in many restaurants. He also worked as a chef for Pan American Airlines. For the past twenty-five years, he and his family have made their home in Red Bank. He loved his family and his friends very much. Carlos loved to have his life filled with music and good times with all those that he loved and loved him.
Carlos leaves behind his beautiful, loving and caring wife of 33 years, Irma; his two sons, Juan Carlos and Eric Joel and two grandsons, Marcu and Jonathan.

Jane Corbin, 77 of Wayside, entered God’s presence on March 15, 2009 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer at St. Barnabas Hospice Center of Monmouth Medical, Long Branch .
Born in Port Jervis, NY she resided on Long Island NY and North Plainfield , NJ before moving to Ocean Township in 1977. She was a Medical Technologist and was the Blood Bank Supervisor for St Francis Hospital, in Roslyn , NY . Later on, she also worked as a billing and collection specialist for Dr. Grossman’s office in Tinton Falls and for Omni Health Care before retiring in 1996. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church (Tower Hill), Red Bank. She was past co-president of the Tower Hill Choir, a Deacon, member of the Elizabeth Circle , and active on the Grief Care Ministry Team. She volunteered her time for the SPCA, St James Convent, and for the Boy Scouts of America as a merit badge counselor. Her sense of humor, smile and giving of herself to others were her greatest gifts.

RICHARD TERRITO, 72 of the SHADY OAKS SECTION of MIDDLETOWN, passed away on Monday, March 16th.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Staten Island, NY prior to his moving to Middletown in 1991. He was an alumni of New Dorp High School and was a 1958 graduate of the New York School of Mechanical Dentistry. First and foremost, Richard loved his family. He also loved boating and the time he got to spend in Florida with his family. He owned and operated Richmond Dental Laboratory from 1967-2009.

MARYANN CHIZMAR, 67, of RED BANK, NJ died at her home on Sunday, March 15, 2009, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Jersey City to Paul and Mary Chizmar. She spent most of her life living in Colts Neck before moving to Red Bank. She was a fashion consultant for Bamberger’s department store, and then moved on to Odyssey Travel, where she was a travel agent who specialized in the Caribbean and also a property manager. She was a member of the Colts Neck Fire Co. No. 2 Ladies’ Auxiliary. She enjoyed skiing and she was a member of a ski patrol at a Vermont ski area. After she retired, Maryann became an avid gardener.
Maryann was predeceased by her step-brother, Paul Chizmar, Jr. She is survived by her children, Paul Moscatello of Brooklyn, NY, and her daughter Terri Ellis and her husband Jack of Galloway, NJ; her grandchildren, Christopher, Todd, Tara, and Caitlin; and her brother, Joseph Chizmar and his wife Helen of Edison, NJ.

ARNOLD “MICKEY” RATHLEV, 89 of LITTLE SILVER, NJ passed away at his home on Thursday, March 12, 2009, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Elmhurst, Long Island, Mickey traveled the world before retiring on Blackberry Creek in Long Branch, NJ. Mickey attended Union College, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and co-captain of both the baseball and basketball teams. He graduated in 1941 as an Electrical Engineer and was immediately commissioned as a US Army officer. His first assignment took him to London and the British college of Military Science where he helped with the development of the radar. At that time, the US entered World War II, and Mickey served in the South Pacific supporting General MacArthur’s island-hopping from New Guinea to the Philippines.
